Sanfilippo was hired as an assistant coach during the spring of 2014.
A four-year starting midfielder and two-year team captain during his college playing days, Sanfilippo brings a great deal to the table for the SJC men's soccer program. An outstanding player and great competitor on the pitch, the Walpole, Massachusetts native earned a pair of All-Conference honors and played in three GNAC Championship matches, and was a key member of two conference champion sides, during his collegiate career.
With Sanfilippo on the field, the Monks posted the best four-year record (46-32-6, .590), including an outstanding 23-12-2 (.657) mark versus GNAC foes, in program history. He left the men's soccer program as the career-leader in games played (82) and tallied 12 goals, six assists and 30 total points, while missing just two contests, over four seasons.
Sanfilippo, a proven winner who brings instant credibility to the position, understands what is required to compete at a high level and has strong ties to Saint Joseph's College.
Daniel Malone ’17 was named assistant Men’s Soccer coach the summer of 2018 but has been volunteering with the team since 2015 after playing with the team his freshman and sophomore year. Malone is from Laconia, New Hampshire and graduated with a degree in History and minor in Secondary Education at Saint Joseph’s College.
Cross was added as an assistant Men's Soccer coach for the Monks in the Spring of 2018. Before SJC Coss played two years of soccer at Umass Boston in 2008-2010. He then transferred to the University of Southern Maine in 2015 after taking a 5-year hiatus from collegiate soccer. In 2015 Cross became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and began working in various Residential Drug and Alcohol treatment centers. He was also the Assistant Soccer Coach at Longcreek Youth Development Center while his time working there as a Behavior Health Tech. Cross has been public speaking since 2016 that promotes student-athlete wellness.
Shangraw was added as an assistant for the Monks prior to the start of the 2015 season.
Shangraw starred one season for the Monks and tallied 13 goals with six assists for 32 total points en route to earning First Team All-GNAC, First Team ECAC All-New England and Second Team NSCAA All-New England accolades in 2013. That fall, he also earned GNAC Player of the Week honors three times and collected ECAC New England Offensive Player of the Week mention on a pair of occasions.
Before St. Joe’s, Shangraw played two years of JUCO soccer at Bryant and Stratton College in Syracuse, New York and claimed All-Region and All-Conference accolades both years. He then transferred to the University of Maine at Orono and played in 15 games for the Black Bears in 2007.
Cole Milazzo ’16 was tabbed assistant coach for the Men’s Soccer team during the spring of 2018. Before graduating from Saint Joseph’s College with a degree in Sports Management, Milazzo played for the SJC Men’s Soccer team his freshman and sophomore year. After graduation Milazzo was an assistant coach for the Windham High School boys soccer team for a year. Milazzo worked for campus life in the Mercy Center at SJC for two years and is now currently getting his masters in Leadership Education as graduate student at Gordan College while being a substitute teacher for Maine school systems.
